Little Fockers Makes Little Christmas Box Office

Little Fockers, the third installment of the Meet the Parents franchise debuted in first place this Christmas Weekend. However, it's first place win isn't going over so well, as it only made $34 million, compared to Meet the Fockers'$46.1 million in 2004. The terrible reviews for this film also didn't help as it is currently getting an 10% fresh rating on rottentomateos (which is actually rotten, for those of you not in the know). Little Fockers may finally be the last of the franchise.

True Grit on the other hand did better than expected, as it landed a second place finish with about $25 million.

Gulliver's Travels came in seventh with $7 million for 2 days, since it opened on Christmas Day. I have a feeling this movie will get lost this week.

Overall the box office was down 44% from last year, when Avatar, Sherlock Holmes, and Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 dominated.
