Ride Along Destroys the Box Office

The buddy cop comedy Ride Along, easily nabbed the top spot at the box office this weekend ($41.2 million). While Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit played a little under expectations ($17.2 million), with even  the animated flick, The Nut Job ($20.6 million), beating it.  Jack Ryan is the series' lowest opening since The Hunt for Red October ($17.161 million)... but that's from back in 1990 and... Red October is awesome. It also went on to make $122 million.

As for that Devil Baby viral video, it probably helped Devil's Due attain a 7th place finish ($8.5 million).

If 2014 continues like this, we might see a huge year at the movies.
