Rogue One Easily Dominates Box Office with $155 million

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story easily dominated the box office as it took in an impressive $155 million this weekend. Yes, it's short of The Force Awakens' $247.9 million record breaking debut last year, but it doesn't make it less impressive, because of the sheer force of hype that preceded that film.  Back to Rogue One, it also debuted overseas where it made $135.5 million with still a few big markets yet to open.  It's early global total stands at $290.5 million.

As for that Will Smith movie, Collateral Beauty, it wasn't so beautiful as it debuted in 4th place with only $7 million.  It could possibly be Will Smith's worst opening.
