Jumanji Rakes in $36 Million to Top the Box Office

Third weekend's the charm for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle ($36 million). It dethroned Star Wars: The Last Jedi ($23.6 million) from the top spot at the box office.  In fact, Jumanji is doing so well, it has already grossed $244 million domestically, and is currently topping the foreign weekend with $70 million.  It's foreign take is up to $275 million with a worldwide total of $519.4 million.

The Last Jedi didn't even place second... the latest installment of the Insidious series, The Last Key, snatched that spot with $29.3 million... a lot more than I was expecting (considering, I didn't even know they made a 4th one).

Star Wars: The Last Jedi slipped to third with $23.6 million.  At about 55%, it's the biggest percentage drop for any film in the top 15 and will most likely end up short of The Force Awakens' $936.7 million domestic take or it's $2 billion worldwide take.  With that said, The Last Jedi currently stands at $1.2 billion and is the 2nd highest grossing Star Wars film ever.
