Jumanji Remains On top with $27 Million

In what's turning out to be one of Sony's most successful movies, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle remained on top of the box office with $27 million.  It's domestic take stands at $283.2 million, so far.  Which makes it Sony's 6th highest grossing film, behind Skyfall ($304.4 million) and four Spiderman movies. Worldwide, it has grossed $666.2 million.

Steven Spielberg's acclaimed drama, The Post, debuted to a modest $18.6 million. While the Liam Neeson action flick, The Commuter,  trailed closely behind ($13.5 million).

Star Wars: The Last Jedi's has now made $1.265 billion worldwide  This bested Beauty and the Beast's $1.264 billion, to become the top movie of 2017.
