Aquaman Floats On Top with $30.7 million

Aquaman easily held onto the top spot at the box office ($30.7 million) for the third weekend in a row. Which brings it's total domestic gross to $259.7 million.  It also added another $56.2 million overseas, for an overseas total of $681 million and a worldwide total of $940.7 million, making it the highest grossing of the DCU outside of The Dark Knight series.  Aquaman should pass the $1 billion mark sometime soon.

The surprise this weekend was Escape Room ($18 million) which came in well ahead of expectations for a second place finish.

In other news, Bumblebee is starting to picked up some Transformers steam overseas as it grossed $82.7 million, and has an early worldwide total of $289.1 million.
