Men in Black International Tops Box Office with $28.5 Million Debut

In what's becoming a lackluster June for films, Men in Black International topped the box office with $28.5 million.  It is the lowest debut of the franchise.  Overseas, the brand stills holds some weight, as it made $73.7 million.  However, it's not looking good for the reboot/sequel.

The Secret Life of Pets 2, slipped to second with $23.8 million, bringing its total to $92 million. Which is less than half the amount the original film made at this point in time.

Aladdin is pacing along quite splendidly for Disney, as this weekend's third place finish ($16.7 million) has upped its domestic total to $236.5 million.  It has also made $461.4 million overseas for a worldwide total of $724.9 million.

Not so great for Disney... Dark Phoenix... ouch... It dropped over 70% ($9 million) for a fourth place finish.  It has so far made $51.8 million and it'll most likely be the first ever X-Men related film to not pass the $100 million mark.
