Toy Story 4 Dominates Box Office with $118 Million Debut

The Disney/Pixar flick, Toy Story 4, easily took the top spot at the box office this weekend, with $118 million. Although, it came in a bit under expectations, it is the highest debut of the franchise, besting Toy Story 3's $110.3 million debut in 2010 (wow, it has already been 9 years?). Overseas, it took in another $120 million and has a worldwide total of $238 million.

The other toy movie to debut this weekend, Child's Play, took in $14.1 million for a second place finish. Meanwhile, Men in Black International takes a 64% dip to 4th place with $10.8 million in its second weekend.  Like Dark Phoenix, this franchise film will have a hard time getting to the $100 million mark domestically.

Another Disney film, however, is still holding strong; Aladdin has so far made $810.1 million worldwide and has a good chance to surpass the $1 billion mark.
